OK, let me see if I'm getting this straight:

X app running anywhere <-> Xvnc running anywhere <-> vncviewer running =
anywhere

We all agree this works, right?

Now, Quentin comes up with this, say running on an NT box and displaying =
on an X terminal:

Win app <-> VNCserver <-> CygWin vncviewer -display my-x-terminal:0

Right?

Should work, if you want to control multiple NT boxes from an old X =
terminal... 8')
