Looking at the wider picture, how about removing the user authentication
info from VNC server and authenticating against an LDAP server?  (Here, we
synchronize the NTLM with LDAP, and soon NIS with LDAP.)  If VNC could
authenticate against an external LDAP server (which itself could sync with
NTLM, NIS, NDS, etc), then we could have single synchronized password to
VNC on any machine, anywhere, on any platform.   No more reconfiguring each
VNC server by hand...  =20
