Mac Viewer connection failure

I don't think this is the fault of the viewer, rather my esteemed collegue
Mr Weatherall's Windows server (sound of buck being passed)
Did you connect the first time with sharing enabled or disbaled? If you
connected the first time with desktop sharing disabled and the server has
become confused then it may automatically throw off any further incoming
connections. Have you tried restarting the server?
The version error box is probably appearing because the server is
disconnecting straight away when the viewer is expecting a version string.
Timing differences will determine whether this is reported as
a version failure or a connection closure
If you are still having trouble there is a way of forcing the server into
debug mode which will give you a better idea of what is going on.
Create two registry DWORD values under
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/ORL/WinVNC3,
DebugMode and DebugLevel.
Set DebugMode to 6 and DebugLevel to 10 (decimal) and run WinVNC. A
console should appear, displaying status information from WinVNC and a log
file (WinVNC.log) should be written to the disk. You'll have to stop
WinVNC before windows will let you read the log file.
