TCP ports used by VNC/Unix ver.

Is their a white paper available that documents port activity?  I need define a
service object on my firewall.  I have tried port 5800 with ranges of
1024-65553.

Also, can any Unix version of VNC  support multiple clients with unique
screen/application access?
I know that Unix software like X windows can have multiple virtual desktops can
a specific VNC session access on that virtual desktop?  Any help would be
greatly appreciated.
