I don't think it would be particularly difficult but it's not really in
keeping with the philosophy of the VNC architecture - it should really be
the servers' responsibility to support all the available VNC pixel
formats.

It's more likely that we'll add some new translation routines to the
servers in order to support 24-bit clients properly.
