Hi! Many thanks for a wonderful contribution.

Great! I have compiled and replaced it. The performance got much better.
Especially, when I connect to machines in my office at university from
home through telephone line via PPP (I'm using ISDN 64k bps or 128k bps
connection), the performance increased tremendously. Of course, it is
so because the main problem in such a situation is slowness of line.
In more normail situations like 10 base T LAN connection, it's not so
dramatic but still I could feel the repsonse got better. But I would
imagine if the machine power is low and LAN connection is fast, then
the gain might be little or even worse (in such a case just do not use
-zlib switch).
It's pity that this great improvement is only for UNIX platform. Is it
possible to implement this VNC compression to WinNT/Win95 or other
platforms? > orl developpers
