Laszlo and Laszlo,
you need to put in either the IP number or the machine name of the VNCserver,
followed by :0
eg, if you're running the server on 192.168.1.5 and the client on 192.168.1.10,
on the client you'd put in 192.168.1.5:0
similarly, with the machine names (identification on the network control panel)
of, say, vncserver and vncclient, on vncclient you'd put vncserver:0
Hope that helps,
Rob
(PS - for those in charge at ORL, when are we going to get a digest format
mailing list? :-)

We've downloaded your software and are looking forward to use it for
educational purposes. However we are experiencing problems with it.
We've installed a VNC server and a VNC client, both of them onto a
computer (different ones!) running Win95.
In the server we've set the following properties:
Accept Socket Connections
Display number: ide 1-et irtam
Password: tried w/ or w/o it -- no change
Disable Remote Keyboard (et) Pointer -- both have been tried
Running the VNC Viewer on the other computer (being on the same LAN), it
brings up a window ('connections') and asks for the VNC server.
And here is our problem. We've been trying hard but were unable to find
out what should be typed here. Whatever we've typed in, we received the
following message:
Failed to get server address.Did yuo type name correctly?
What did we wrong?
Thanks in advance,
Laszlo Gulyas jr. and Laszlo Gulyas
