We are using Solaris 2.5 with CDE 1.0. After some unsatisfactory
results, I edited my xstartup file to look like this:

  #!/bin/sh

  xrdb $HOME/.Xresources
  # xsetroot -solid grey
  # xterm -geometry 80x24+10+10 -ls -title "$VNCDESKTOP Desktop" &
  # /usr/dt/bin/Xsession &

When I start a server I do something like this:

  vncserver -query yahoo

where yahoo is the host on which I am starting the server.

After connecting a vnc viewer, the resulting VNC server allows me to
login in the usual way.

An unsolved problem at the moment is how to finish the CDE session.
When I try to log out, CDE shows an error message, but never logs
me out. The error message looks like this:

The request to service this action has failed for the
        following reason:

TT_ERR_NO_MATCH No handler could be found for this message,
and the disposition was not queue or start.

I suspect this problem might be fixed by fiddling with the vncserver
script, but I have not yet looked at it.
